using iVPN on Netgear Nighthawk RAX80
Hello all,
thanks in advance for taking the time to read and try to help - appreciated.
I have a iVPN subscription which works perfectly on iPhone, iPad, Mac. Fast and secure.
Now I would like to setup my Nighthawk RAX80 as a VPN server (so that all home traffic automatically uses the VPN and not only the clients with VPN enabled). I went through all the manuals, installed OpenVPN and Tunnelblick. OpenVPN does not understand the files which you can download from the admin page of the server. Tunnelblick manages to open the 'client2.conf' file but then wants to install system extensions (which I refuse to do on my M1 Mac).
I setup an account with Netgear for a Dynamic DNS - not sure why I would need this for outbound traffic only.
I also contacted iVPN support. iVPN supports a wide range of VPN enabled servers like DD-WRT, OpenWRT, pfSense, Tomato, or OpenSense. However I am not sure if these protocols are implemented on the RAX80.
Does anyone know how to use the RAX80 as a VPN server?
thanks a lot for your help!!!
