No Nighthawk Mesh on RS700

What's up with this device - doesn't work with Nighthawk mesh.  My internet router is at the latest firmware but not the other one which I'm trying to setup with Nighthawk mesh but scanning the barcode says invalid barcode and trying it manually does not work even if I hardwire it.  At this price point, this is pretty expensive for a router not to work as a mesh.  Is it not supported or supported yet but YET would be dumb as why release something that can't mesh.  I guess that's why they have Orbi right?

Do you have two of these RS routers? Was mentioned the RS was possibly going to be MESH with another RS700.

I have 3, was hoping to mesh them.  Returning them ASAP.  Doesn't work as going into the Nighthawk mesh on the app asks me to scan the barcode on setup but says invalid barcode when scanned.  Trying it manually doesn't find the satellite even if I hardwire it.  Not supported yet or will never be supported I guess.

Re: RS700 Mesh Support

How do you set the second router to AP mode when it's not online/available out of the box. Do you need to go through a setup for it and then set it to AP mode.  In other words, setup each router as if it's the main and then when setup is done configure it to AP mode?  Anyways, seems to risky to keep 3 units I bought with no mesh and no guarantee that a mesh will ever work with this router.  AP mode doesn't cut it as it's a weak method of running mesh.

I think the MESH support is still in development.

Re: RS700 Mesh Support

Got it working through the Nighthawk app.  Didn't want to go through it again but there's no way.  I set it up as a router, let it do it's firmware update and then changed it to AP mode.  Plugged it into my other RS700 running the show and it came up as an AP point.  In the app, I can switch between the routers by choosing the Main or AP point(s).  Just not sure if I'm going to keep it though as this is a very expensive solution without any mesh support currently.  I know it's really a mesh minus the smarts that run a mesh but just easier to mesh and I'm not certain that moving around is ideally placing my WiFi devices at the strongest point.  I suspect the 3rd RS700 will be no issue to set up as a second AP.
