RS280S LAN port stops working, reboot fixes it

It is a TP-Link TL-SG108, cat 6 cable.
Can't recommend that mfr. You might give NGs GS108 series a try if it happens again.

- Never had any problems like this with the old router, Nighthawk X4S R7800.
How would the unmanaged switch cause the RS280 lan port to lock up, with Wi-Fi still working? It is interesting that rebooting only the RS280 made the lan port start working again.Will need to test the router with out the switch being connected. Anything could happen with 3rd party branded switches or cabling.
Is protection engine enabled on the routers web page under Advanced tab/Security?
Let us know if it happens again with out the switch.
- Protection was enabled when this happened. But nothing was logged. I have now turned it off.
