AX5700 vs AX6000

Is there a comparison chart somewhere that would show me the difference between the AX5700 and AX6000 models?  I ordered it from CostCo not realizing there were two different models, and I don't see a pre-sales support number that I can call for more details of the differences.  I'm considering replacing my current Linksys ea9500 router with a mesh system (home network, 4500sf, approx 30 devices- 10ish hardwired, remaining WiFi, needs are mostly internet and streaming - connection is Spectrum cable at 400mbps). I need to make a quick decision before I open the box from CostCo. Should I return this and replace it with the AX6000?

Re: AX5700 vs AX6000

Mostly explained over there ref. the RAX80 (retail) vs. the RAX75 (e.g Costco) already.

The "missing" 300 are coming from the disabled 1024-QAM on the 2.4 GHz :

RBK840:

2.4GHz AX: 4x4 (Tx/Rx) 256-QAM 40MHz, up to 920Mbps

5GHz AX: 4x4 (Tx/Rx) 1024-QAM 160MHz, up to 4.8Gbps

RBK850:

2.4GHz AX: 4x4 (Tx/Rx) 1024-QAM 40MHz, up to 1.2Gbps

5GHz AX: 4x4 (Tx/Rx) 1024-QAM 160MHz, up to 4.8Gbps

Unless you have a large amount of WiFi 6 2.4 GHz devices operating compareably near to the access points (otherwise the 1024-QAM in not very likely to achieve) the Costo version is fine.

Check the bottom of the spec sheets on NG support site for each RBK840 and RBK850. I believe they are about the same less WiFi radio and connection rate differences.

I had both and ran them both for a while (at different times) and noticed no real world differences.  Keep the Costco version and save the price difference.  They both run the same firmware.

Re: AX5700 vs AX6000

do you think there is a noticable difference between the WiFi6 and the older Model  RBK53S-100NAS 3 pack that CostCo sells if I don't currently have any WiFi6 products?   My internet is between 200 - 400mbps and I don't have a lot of high bandwidth WiFi products attached. Most of those are hard wired and will be on a switch regardless. I was originally going to do the Orbi 6 just to be future/forward thinking, but I think the cost of those will come down considerably by the time I have any WiFi6 devices so I might be better off spending just the $299 now and then upgrade to WiFi6 in a year or two.

Absolutely not - because the large majority of older e.g. 802.11ac wireless clients don't support 1024-QAM (and 160MHz bandwidth) on 2.4 GHz anyway.

Even if you will get WiFi 6 clients - 2.4 GHz with 1024-QAM is typically possible on shorter distances only - where 5 GHz (or an Ethernet cable, or a fiber, ...) will outperform it anyway.

I just got it cause it was something new to play with.  I had the the RBK53 from Costco as well and gave that to a friend who's not as into tech as I am.  The RKB53 will probably work just fine in your situation.  It was a little overkill for me due to the two  satellites and my place not really needing the extra coverage.  I do think the AX5700 seems to manage my devices better than the RBK53 did.  Some devices in my living room would refuse to connect to the satellite which was sitting 6 feet away and would insist on connecting to the main router which was 40 feet away, it drove me crazy trying to figure out why it was doing this  but the AX5700 solved that and everything connects to what is closest to either the router or the satellite.

Re: AX5700 vs AX6000

peripherally related - does anyone know if it's possible to purchase a single AX5700 satellite so that you will have 1 router + 2 satellites total? (since the costco pack us just 1 + 1). Or is it possible to pair other orbi satellites with the AX5700 perhaps? Thanks.
