Are all radios available to clients in Orbi Wifi 6 Ethernet Backhaul mode?
Hi there,
do we know what happens - and how much control there is - is an RBK853 (3-set Orbi Wifi 6) mesh setup is configured purely in Ethernet Backhual mode? In that case, with the 2nd 5Ghz band not needed for internal communication, is one single SSID then serving all 3 bands (2x 5Ghzm, 1x 2.4) for and 8 stream setup on the 5Ghz band?
Or in short - how are the radios working if none are configured for backhaul (since it's wired)?
Thanks!

The 2nd 5Ghz is not user configurable or usable by any client devices. Regardless if the RBS is in wireless or wired mode.

Got it (too bad - I had hoped in wired backhaul mode, there would be an additioanl 4 spatial streams available to clients...!).
Thanks for the reply.

I think the wireless backhaul needs to be closed and enabled so when the ethernet is disconencted the RBS can get connected via wireless. Been like this since Orbi AC.
Enjoy.
