Can't enable and disable devices in Orbi App (No Slider)

Can't enable and disable devices in Orbi App (No Slider)
Initially we were able to enable and disable any device in the Orbi App. The day I disabled one device and wanted to enable it back the slider had disappeared. We have RBK50 as the main router. We gave the Verizon router back which we were paying a monthly fee. How do we get the slider back? We need to get the device back on again to use it.
Do we need to do anythign to the router? It was working fine for all this time and suddenly the 'slider' for devices are gone!
Why would the slider suddenly go away?

Are there sliders for any other devices, or are all the sliders gone?
I once tried to "Pause" the smartphone I was using to run the Orbi app, and it would not let me. (duh)
To be honest, I have no earthly idea what "Pause" means (technically).
- Not let on the network at all?
- Let on the LAN, but keep off the internet?
I do all my Orbi administration using the Orbi web interface, so perhaps people with more experience with the 'app' can provide a better explanation.
