I have had this issue the two times that I have separately tried to pause my kids iPads. Here is the issue: 1. I tried to stop my kids iPads through the device manager GUI in the ORBI app 2. Af...

This was never fixed by Orbi / Netgear customer support. To fix this issue, I had to literally delete the app, register a new email address and set up a new password. Everything has been working but I never got any resolution from Netgear.

Dang, I don’t want to go through all that trouble. I just had issues with getting my Nest smoke detectors to reconnect after a power outage that lasted a second :(
- AML11May 27, 2021TutorOk, I ended up returning it. What a shame.

I am having the same problems, and I am this close to picking up this router and returning it to where I bought it from (I paid quite a bit for it). For the first time, I turned off certain devices last night, and now the damn thing is not getting me back to the device manager and there is no help of any kind from Orbi! Is there anybody knowledgeable enough to give guidance?

Netgear provides 90 days of support. There is a link on the product registration page to Contact Netgear.
I am unable to duplicate this situation on the Anrdoid Orbi app. Of course, I did not wait overnight to "Unpause" the device. I have a suspicion that this "Pause" feature is not intended for the use people want to make of it. (perhaps as a substitute for Parental Controls?)
Lest anyone think I am defending Netgear, I should point out my low opinion of the Orbi "app". The forum contains a constant stream of complaints about the app
- How people get locked out of the app
- How the "Pause" feature works (or doesn't work)
- Failing to update firmware correctly (or at all)
- The fact that the app does not allow access to any of the Advanced Settings on the Orbi, such as
* DNS server sertings
* DCP range
* Assigning IP's to device by MAC address
* Enabling SSID broadcasts
* DDNS
* OpenVPN
* IPv6 options
* etc. etc.
