Netgear Orbi app vulnerabilities detected
Hello,
My Netgear Orbi app 'security' seems to be all over the shop. the rating has dropped down to 66 (low) and I have no idea how to bring that number up.
It says 'Vulnerabilities Detected - 260' all from my LG TV, has anyone had the same issues and know how to rectify this?
The 'Recommendations' suggest 'Enable Guest WIFI Network/Install Bitdefender Security/Update WIFI Password' but they do not seem to change anything if I do what is recommended.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Re: Netgear Orbi app vulnerabilities detected
Assuming that Bitdefender Armor has been enabled on this Orbi, then that product is complaining about the LG TV. One step might be to open the TV setup menu and see if there is a firmware update for the TV.
This question is actually more about what Armor is doing than the Orbi "app", so it might be more likely to get an informed response if the question is posted in the Armor community forum:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/NETGEAR-Armor/bd-p/en-home-armor
(Netgear probably thought creating all these separate community forums was a good idea. My, I'm not so sure.)
If you could take a screen shot of those complaints, someone might recognize how serious they are.)

Hello Catchingthebus,
May you visit armor.netgear.com and let me know if you're able to see the vulnerabilities/description listed there.

Hello J-mazz,
Can you visit the Armor portal at armor.netgear.com and check to see if you're able to view the vulnerabilities there.

Re: Netgear Orbi app vulnerabilities detected
I have the same issues. Upgraded from my ASUS RT-N56 to a RAX45 and now Armor started its 30 day free trial promptly messing things up that never were a problem.
My rating says 79, I recently had a TV update as of two days ago, yesterday I installed the new router, everything is running bad. Is there a way uninstalling/removing armor? Might as well just return this router.

Re: Netgear Orbi app vulnerabilities detected
What telephone number did you call?
That does not sound like a response from Netgear. Sounds more like one of those companies that pop up on internet searches for "Netgear Support" (of which there are many who have nothing to do with Netgear).

Re: Netgear Orbi app vulnerabilities detected
Could you provide the URL to this web site?
I do not find a Chat option on my Netgear support site:
https://www.netgear.com/support/
Thanks

You were probably correct., A scam, But possibly nothing to do with Netgear.
Sadly, there are nasty people out there who pay to get to the top of web searches for things like "Netgear support". They are no such thing, even though they slap Netgear images and logos all over their sites.
If this was what hit you, then let us know what that web site was and someone can pass on the details so that Netgear can set its legal attack dogs on the case.

Re: Netgear Orbi app vulnerabilities detected
I remain confused.https://my.netgear.com/products.aspx does not show any Chat option for me or lead me to a Chat option.
Since every Netgear product I own is well past the 90 day support limit, this could be because there is no point in showing me a Chat option if I have nothing that qualifies for support.
Have attempted internet search for "Netgear chat support", but no luck.
GetHuman seems to believe that Netgear does not support Live Chat: https://gethuman.com/chat/Netgear
I can believe that one of the internet companies paid an Ad fee to get their "Netgear Support" URL listed at the top on searches which will draw people to them, but I cannot reconcile that with the URL being https://my.netgear.com/products.aspx
What am I missing?

Re: Netgear Orbi app vulnerabilities detected
I’m having the same exact issue.says 313 vulnerabilities with my LG Oled TV. Firmware and software are up to date, Came out of nowhere. Score dropped to mid 60’s and flutters between that and mid 70’s. How do I rescan this device? It seems like there is a bug in app…or somehow is really wrong with LG security.
