Re: Notification Message Quest Wifi Test Deep Link
Recieved same message 4 times, thank you everyone for the update. My actions taken until issue is resolved was disable guest network, and disable anywhere access. Logged into my router everything checked out. Hopefully Netgear will have an answer soon.

Re: Notification Message Quest Wifi Test Deep Link
Ditto here. No resolution apparent yet. Never had these notifications previously. Netgear?

Re: Notification Message Quest Wifi Test Deep Link
Same here. Glad to see I'm not the only one. Obviously a system issue (and unlikely that it's anything nefarious—we hope).

Re: Notification Message Quest Wifi Test Deep Link
Appears that they were testing a deep link to the guest wifi page in the application. Probably shouldn't have been testing in prod, but I think that the notifications are innocuous (and hey, they worked! Opened straight to the guest wifi page in the app.)

Re: Notification Message Quest Wifi Test Deep Link
I'm also getting spammed with these notifications all of a sudden today while I'm offsite, and I don't even have an active guest network. My app isn't allowing me to log in either, giving me an error that doesn't say my credentials are incorrect, suggesting more of a failure on the server end of things for this app.

Re: Notification Message Quest Wifi Test Deep Link
If not an error in their part, then possibly their systems were compromised, which could be troubling in terms of customer personal information. It would be good to get an update from Netgear, given this happened several hours ago now.

Re: Notification Message Quest Wifi Test Deep Link
Same here.
Almost certainly the iOS App developer having to update the App Push Notifications certificate. And accidentally sending notifications to everyone on production lol. It's easily done, they could have entered a slightly better test message that didn't refer to Guest Wifi!

@@Netgear needs to let us know if this is a hack or a developer issue.

Re: Notification Message Quest Wifi Test Deep Link
Same here. The "please be patient" crew can continue being patient... but customer service 0 out of 10.
Netgear needs to admit to some sort of event you are looking into and advise your customers disconnect or you say the incident is a known internal change control issue and commit to better controls in the future. If you don't know you have serious issues and/or no internal change controls.
