Orbi App says my satellite is not connected even though I know it is
So I got the Orbi 5G router and satellite combo a week ago. It’s been mostly great until the last day or so where all of a sudden it will no longer show the satellite in the app (says 0 of 1 satellite, and when I look at the satellite in the app it says the connection status is “offline.”)
However, when I go to sync it, the blue led will come on indicating a connection and devices that are out of range of the router will reconnect to the internet. Yet the satellite still shows it’s not connecting.
I can deal with the app not being accurate, but I do find the satellite is occasionally if rarely disconnecting from the internet/router which forces me to power it off and try to manually sync it again.
Any ideas? I’ve tried placing them next to each other in the same room and it still will not show the satellite connected.

Re: Orbi App says my satellite is not connected even though I know it is
1. what actual kit do you have? (look at the label)
2. what firmware is on the router and the satellite?
3. does it show disconnected if you log in through the browser and not the app?
4. what modem/gateway is it connected to?
5. Is the satellite wired or wireless?
also in AP setup: RAXE500->EAX80
1.4gig download/100mbps upload from Xfinity

Re: Orbi App says my satellite is not connected even though I know it is
Was having similar issue and what I finally had to do was reset the entire system, reload the firmware on all the hardware (satellites and router),and set the system up from scratch. I went through at least 8 firmware upgrades and downgrades and always used backups to get up and going again but finally did a fresh setup this morning and so far everything is working like it should and did when I got the system over a year ago. I know it’s a pain to do but might be worth trying. Another issue I ran into while doing this is that the only browser I was able to use to log into the satellites was Edge, which makes absolutely no sense, but I tried Safari and Firefox for over an hour without success and Edge worked without issues.
