Orbi Satellites not detected on Orbi app
App shows 0 of 2 satellites. Checking directly with the router, it shows 2 satellites are connected. Network Map on the App, shows both satellites. Backhaul status, good on both. App also show...

The answer to your question about daisy chain on the network map - no. The network map does not properly reflect that my satellites are connected as wired daisy-chained. The network map shows each satellite wired to the rbr40 router directly, separately.

Thanks for the explanation. It would be interesting to compare the Network Map against the Orbi web interface Attached Devices display. (http://orbilogin.net ) Attached Devices is so "old school" with text and symbols rather than the cool app's pretty pictures and lines. The app is taking information from the router and displaying it, so these two descriptions should match. If they do not, then that would be another app failure to report. On the other hand, if they do match, one might tend to believe that the satellites both attach directly to the router.

Orbi updated the iOS app yesterday. Unfortunately it made things worse. They removed the satellite count from the home page all-together. So that problem is “gone”. But the satellites are now also missing from the network map.
Both satellites still show as connected with good backhaul status from the router’s own admin web pages (connected devices).

Bummer. I have no experience programming apps for either iOS or Android. It is truly a mystery that the versions seem to be developed independently of each other. The most recent Android version 2.22.0.2662 (Jan 3, 2023) is working fine - for me on my specific system.

Thought I’d report back that things are working for me again.
Short story is that I factory reset both my satellites and my router.
I had noticed a different but most likely related problem - one of my satellites repeatedly listed about 50 times on the router’s firmware update web page. When searching these forums about that problem someone reported that a factory reset fixed that problem.
And, I thought that since I was having so many different issues a factory reset wouldn’t hurt. So this morning I finally took the time and did it. While I wish there was an easier fix, the factory reset does seem to have worked.
