Orbi device identification
On my Orbi app a listing of devices just says Apple or Amazon. How do I specifically identify what those devices are?

Re: Orbi device identification
On the Orbi app Device Manager, press on one of the devices and that will bring up a full page description of the device that you can 'edit' to provide a text description and select the icon to be displayed.

Re: Orbi device identification
Thanks. I did that but it still just says apple and ip and Mac addresses. Not smart enough to know what that is. My iPhone? iPad? What is it?

Re: Orbi device identification
Ah. It appears you have run into one of the delightful ways the Orbi 'app' is deficient compared to the Orbi web interface.
The web interface allows the user to enter three items of description for each device:
- Device Name
- Device Model (which I use to indicate the brand and model #)
- Device Type (a pull-down menu that indicates which icon to display)
The Orbi 'app' does not provide a mechanism to indicate the Device Model field.
And, the Device Type is an assortment of pictures to choose from rather than a pull down list.
Slicker. Cooler. Hipper. Lacking.
