Download the firmware v2.5.1.16 for both router and satellite from https://www.netgear.com/support/product/orbi.aspx#download and update on each device via orbilogin.com
- SundreamerMay 24, 2020StarWell, this would mean downgrade .... I guess itโs strange to fix a problem and put it back ???
My friend got 2.5.1.8 and no problem :-( - simonmannMay 24, 2020Guidev2.5.1.16 Is the latest firmware. Try it.
- SundreamerMay 24, 2020StarPerfect you just saved me !
But I canโt understand .... how can Netgear sell expensive devices, Block support as you need to go trough warranty support And assume the fact their software is
A mess
Why do people have to go trough forums ?? They could just fix this !?
Also why is it possible to block a device via app and impossible to unblock it if it is not connected ?
Same for usb support ..... was able to put a HD with music for steaming on Sonos with old and unexpansive lynksis.... and here no option. ๐
Once again thank you and please at Netgear provide support and correct firmwares !!! - SundreamerMay 24, 2020Star๐๐ป

Same problem. Devices show when I log in through the laptop but not on the app.
The app did show devices once after I rebooted the router
- SundreamerMay 31, 2020StarThis is stupid but you have to download 2.5.1.16 via support web page (not auto update)
This will fix the problem - brucekoMay 31, 2020Aspirant

This will fix the problemThanks,
that fixed it. The router is V2.5.1.16 but the sats are still V2.5.1.8. Is that a problem?
I restarted one of the sats hoping it would load the new firmware but it did not

This will fix the problem - simonmannJun 01, 2020GuideDownload the latest firmware for the satellite as well, which is a different zip file and install that on the satellite.
- SundreamerJun 01, 2020StarYes... logic ! But netgear support for orbi is a disaster ! Got 2 satellites so this very expensive set should get perfect features and support and we are far away
- BDK2020Jun 15, 2020AspirantUnfortunately the firmware for the CBR 40 is still at 2.3.5.12. Hopefully a firmware update will be available for this model soon. Until then does anyone know of a way to manage individual devices?
