I have an RBE771 system running on firmware V 10.5.13.1 and the access control does not work from the web or the GUI. If I go to Device Manager and block access to a device, the device can still connect to the internet.
This was not a problem with my previous Orbi 850 series. I have tried rebooting and restoring to factory settings several times to no success.
I just checked my RBR771 and it's blocking my iphone and android pad from both WEB UI and Orbi app on the iphone and android pad. Same FW version. I set up my RBR and then set an IP address reservation for these devices.
Also Random Mac Address features are disabled on my devices. Something you may need to do.
I did noticed that after WEB UI check, then entering into the Orbi app, my iphone was said to be blocked, but I hadn't done anything to it yet. So I selected Play for this device, checked again and got internet, then selected Pause for this device and then the iphone failed to get internet access. And oddity but after doing this, seemed to work. After checking I pressed play for the iphone and it got internet services again.
