RBR750 Orbi App - 'Delete This Device' not working

(Moving this post from the another Netgear Community forum)

There is a device on my network that will not let me 'Delete This Device'. I get Error Unknown Error and all I can do is click OK. This among multiple issues I have with the Orbi app. Any ideas?

'FURRYe38' said devices can't be removed from the app.

If this is the case, can Netgear introduce a new feature to enable this on the Orbi app? How do the developers of the Orbi app get feature requests?

Re: RBR750 Orbi App - 'Delete This Device' not working

I, also, cannot find an option to 'delete' a device using the Orbi App.  I believe this is because it is a logical impossibility:

The app shows devices which are connected to the Orbi system.  One of the most common complaints about the Orbi app is from users who have devices that are clearly "connected" and working, but the app does not display them.  If something is connected, the app should show it.

When the device is no longer connected, it will appear on the Orbi web interface Advanced Tab, Security Menu, on the Access Control page in a table called "Allowed Devices which are no longer connected."  It can be deleted from that table. However, as soon as the device connects again, it will once again appear on the Attached Devices page (or on the App under Connected Devices).

There was a time several versions of the app ago when the app displayed that "Allowed but not connected" table, and it was possible to Delete items from the table using the app.  (One day I opened the app and it said I had 127 devices. WHAT???) The current version of the app no longer shows that information.

Perhaps what you want is to make a device "go away", in the sense of no longer be connected to the Orbi (and thus no longer show up in the app).  I see only two options for that: (a) physically track it down, using the vendor information in the MAC address, or (b) change the WiFi SSID/password so that it no longer can connect. (then go around and reconnect every other device!!! Oh, no.)

I had the same issue... Until, I moved from "Connected Via Anywhere Access" to "Connect Locally". You have to be logged in as your admin account and connected locally to delete the devices.

It was driving me nuts.
