ios app update 2.4.18.6 crashing on start up?

The Orbi app got an auto-update last night and it crashes on login.  I have an iphone xr and you get to the Face Id login and during that process the app dies.  The app on the ipad did not update and...

    UPDATE:  the app update must have had an anomaly.  I deleted the Orbi app then downloaded it again and installed.  All is well now.  So much for trusting automatic updates ;(
