unable to access the orbi app with correct name and password
The product listed is not the correct product but like Netgears support, the product I purchased and own does not appear.
I have an ORBI mesh system RBR750 is the name of the model shown on the router unit.
sitting within 2 feet, LOS, I am unable to log into the orbi app. I am using the the latest version of the app, updated yesterday (08/06/2024). I have a valid email and login id (they are saved in my google password saver so there is no chance they are incorrect). I successfully used them to log into this account via web browser. But do to some flaw in the android app I am unable to log in via the app. Of course Netgear does not offer support for my product (well actually they only appear to have offered support during the first 3 months). The app will not function without the log in, even though the account and log in are valid, the app fails and is stuck in an endless loop of asking for login (email and password). I have attempted to close the app, reboot the phone and go back to the app, which boots to the home screen. But when I click settings, account management, support, or the router itself it gets stuck in the endless request for a login that it seems to not be able to recognize (the login and password are valid, again, I used them to log into netgear from a web browser).
When I attempt log into the app it briefly shows a screen that says it does not recognize my device (even though it is connected to the router via wifi) and then shows a screen that says login denied. I does not say whether or not the email or password are incorrect, only the login was denied. If I create a new account, then my information in this account (the account I am logged into netgear community to post) will be lost. And as far as I can tell, my router is linked to my account. When I log in via a web browser it shows my router in my account.
Any suggestions on how to log in? TIA!

Re: unable to access the orbi app with correct name and password
What version was the system updated too?
You might try a full on factory reset and setup from scratch with your mobile phone and Orbi app and select Set Up New System. Walk thru the setup wizard in Orbi app and complete it.
Similar process as seen here:
Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

Re: unable to access the orbi app with correct name and password
Thanks for the reply furrye38
I deleted the orbi app from my phone. Turn off the randomizer on my phone. restarted.
the app will not recognize my netgear login. So now I can't log in or even see my home screen until I can log in.
So this is going to take a bit of work to figure out.
Will post when I have more

Re: unable to access the orbi app with correct name and password
Would be useful to know if the Orbi app is running on Apple or Android device.
(my memory is not what it used to be... however.....) I seem to recall being annoyed by the Orbi app during initial setup because it forced me to enter two sets of credentials:
- The app wants a valid Netgear login (email and password), however
- it also forced me to enter the router administrative credentials ("admin" plus password).
My (dim) memory is that it was not obvious when it wanted the "admin" credentials and when it wanted the Netgear credentials. (There was a lot of swearing at the time.)
Also, the initial installation of the Orbi app requires that the device is connected to the Orbi LAN. If Anywhere Access is configured on the Orbi app, then it is possible to access the router when not connected to the LAN. Anywhere Access has to be enabled on each device separately (when each is connected to the LAN). Some devices can have Anywhere Access enabled and some might not.

Re: unable to access the orbi app with correct name and password
Try the link provided and factory reset the RBR and start from scratch by setting up a new Orbi system using the Orbi app on your phone.
