BPDUs from Orbi Pro Causing Switch to Reboot

I have Orbi Pro's installed - the SXR80 and associated clients. They are connected to a Ubiquiti Enterprise switch. Orbi's are running 4.2.0.122. My switch reboots every few days. Troubleshooting with Ubiquiti support, they say the Orbi's are sending BPDU packets that are causing the switch to reboot.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Re: BPDUs from Orbi Pro Causing Switch to Reboot

@toddla,

Welcome to the community! 🙂

The SXR80 sending BPDU packets should NOT cause a reboot unto your Ubiquiti Enterprise switch.

Are there other devices other than the SXR80 connected to your Ubiquiti Enterprise switch?

Ubiquiti support logs isolated it to one of the 3 ports to which the APs are connected.

Hi toddla,

We don't know why u-company thinks Orbi Pro BPDU has some problems. At engineering point, I think they may need to fix reboot issue in the new switch at least, because in NGTR switch, we don't have the reboot issue.  Switch should not be rebooted caused by other devices.
