Re: Device is already registered

You can use the system with out registering it.

Something the NG support will have to be involved in to make changes there.

What if the old owner has the netgear insight subscription ? Could he not control the network when its still registered to him ?

Re: Device is already registered

You would need to factory reset the system and setup from scratch and provide a new admin log in password to avoid that. Which would be first thing to do. This might trigger a new registration process as well, though not sure about that.

Again, something that the forums can't change or effect. Something NG support should be able too though.

In case it wasn't removed from Insight, it's possible the device does re-join the previous owner configuration and Insight conneciton, including the Insight site admin password, ...

Complete different thing than re-registering for warranty - what Netgear does not allow the non-original buyer usually.

Re: Device is already registered

You can factory reset the system and setup with the SXR not connected to any ISP sources. Setup the system using different log in PW using a web browser to set up the SXR. Once it's setup, you can connect it to an ISP source. See if your Log in over the Insight app you have can log in and access the system at this point.

Again, you'll need to contact NG support to have them help you ensure registration is changed to your NG profile account.
