Orbi Pro Wifi 6 IP Not Secure

I just purchased a Nighthawk modem and an Orbi Pro Wifi 6 system from Staples. I'm trying to set it up but I can't access the router. I keep getting 'not secure' messages no matter what method I try. I can't access the router to even update the settings. I called tech support. He gave me a spill that I needed to spend another $200 for some security or firewall service. I have no idea what he's talking about. There's no way am spending any more money on this.

Does anyone have any insight?

Try a different web browser. Firefox or Opera.

Interesting that Staples still has stock of the SXK80, since the product is officially End of Life.

https://www.netgear.com/support/product/sxk80/

Hope you got a good deal on it.

The Product Data Sheet says that Netgear provides

  • 5 year subscription to Insight management
  • 90 days of 'complimentary support'

I received an excellent deal on it. I've been watching for a good set up. My current modem/router was on its last leg.

I did manage to connect to the router through Firefox. So far my range and speed has greatly improved. Fingers crossed I don't run into any other issues.

Whatever you have called, or where ever you have searched for some Netgear Support, that was almost certainly a Scam  operation center.

Formal Netgear Support does always start on https://my.netgear.com/ - and beware: Never on any search engine! Unloess youy intend to throw your hard earned monney out of the window.
