Hi all - my router is stuck flashing white, despite reboots and reset attempts (holding reset button down for >7 seconds.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Can you not access the routers web page at 192.168.1.1 after pressing the reset button for 15 seconds then release with a wired PC and web browser?

Re: SXK80 stuck flashing white

Sadly, no.  I have the pc set to fixed ip 192.168.1.100 on the ethernet adapater, have the network cable pluugged into one of the LAN ports on the router (not the WAN port.)  I just tried powering on, giving it a moment and then doing the 15 seconds you suggested.  Was not able to see 192.168.1.1 in the web browser.

I also have tried the steps recommended to manually update the firmware with the same hardwired setup but was unable to get a connection to 192.168.1.1 even if the router had been powered on for like 10 minutes (with the white LED still blinking.)

Re: SXK80 stuck flashing white

did you get it working with a tftp client?

You can try recoving it with either tftp or nmrpflash.

are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10

and here's a video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done with tftp.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash
https://github.com/jclehner/nmrpflash

I haven't used nmrpflash on the pro line but I've used it a couple times on the consumer equipment with good results.

Current setup: CAX80->Trendnet TEG-S380->GS716T-> RBK752->pi-hole
1.4gig download/50mbps upload
