The support shows the SXK80B4 as End Of Life. This means the warranty is no longer valid but the question I have is does that include firmware upgrades for the device? Information on this is not clear. End Of Life means end of product firmware support as well?

Hello @JBX_Industries,
And welcome to the NETGEAR Community! 🙂
End of Life does not mean your warranty will be forfeited. Warranty starts the time you purchase and register the product. Usually for an Orbi Pro, it has a 5-year hardware warranty. Units that has been proven defective can be replaced with the same device from support as long as its still under the 5-year hardware warranty. However there are different types of support warranty. Netgear gives a phone support warranty for only 90 days but should have the same duration of email or chat support warranty from how long your hardware warranty is. And if the issue is with security vulnerabilities, you may want to report it at Netgear security on the link below. You may want to earn extra income out of reporting a vulnerability on your Netgear device.

Re: SXK80B4 End Of Life
No, no, and no.
Netgear does - in the year 2024 - still not manage to publish a correct industry common life cycle for the business devices. In Netgear terms, as of writing, EoL means the SXR80, SXS80, SXR50, SXS50, SXR30 and SXS30 (just to list some) can no longer be ordered new from the factory. This does not mean the products are rendered useless (no more security updates, no more warranty exchange, ...).

Re: SXK80B4 End Of Life
So that does mean they update firmware and make security changes? Correct?
