Hi all, just an update to let you know that I have resolved the issue with the assistance of a TPLink WA850RE. I installed one of these in proximity of both and connected the cameras to this repeater. The Repeater then connects to the Orbi Guest wifi and provides stable 2.4G transport without any further adjustments to parameters.
I think the discussion about changing settings on Orbi's 2.4G setup in a residential environment just confuse the issue more. This was a simple range issue despite the fact that the Orbi app was telling me the cameras had 91% and 86% signal strenght in their positions. The App appears to be in-accurate or at least my understanding of what this reading really means is wrong.
So to close this off, my recommendation for everyone who I've seen have issues connecting 2.4Gh devcies, is to either get a second Satellite or a simple Repeater.

Thanks CrimpOn. I experienced the same with teh 2.4Ghz bands; always changing so setting to one always is not a long term strategy. I'll go back to Auto anyway after I tried Ch13 for the last 4hrs to no difference. Interesting it's only that one camera as the others are Ok. So maybe it is a signal issue even though the Orbi app says 91% signal to that area - which is stronger than the other two yet performs the worst.
The cameras are avaialable on Amazon. I got them from Ebay. They're full PTZ so they're good value for the price and like I said, once they work. they're brilliant. They were fault free on the SmartModem so hopefully I'll work out what's happening on the Orbi also.
I even thought of installing a 2.4G repeater in close proximity and connect it to that up front whilst the repeater backhauls to the Orbi. It may stablise.

Also,
"What is the point of connecting the cameras to the "Guest" SSID?"
Security.
If the cameras are compromised, besides sending footage of my driveway and backyard, there is no access to other segments.
