Google Fiber requires Wifi 6E for setup and your RBR750 only has Wifi 5
According to my Google Fiber installer, Google Fiber requires Wifi 6E for setup and your RBR750 only has Wifi 5. The workaround is to plugin the Google Wifi box, set it up, then turn off Google Wifi from the Google Fiber app, then plug the ethernet out from the Google Wifi box into your Netgear RBR750.

Re: Google Fiber requires Wifi 6E for setup and your RBR750 only has Wifi 5
That's what I told the Google Fiber installer and he insisted I was wrong -- even after a long discussion. I could see no reason Wifi 6E would be an issue, but he insisted that it was necessary for provisioning the line and said he ran into the problem with a customer 2 days ago with the same Netgear Router. So he left me a Google fiber jack, Google wifi router to install on my own.
The next day I set up my Google Fiber and the Google Wifi Router was not necessary. So you were right, I was right and he was wrong.

Seems like Google is trying to get you do some else than give you good and proper information. Glad you figured it out. Ya, 6E is NOT required to set up any router, period. One can use a ethernet cable as well: https://kb.netgear.com/22697/How-do-I-install-my-NETGEAR-router-using-the-router-web-interface
Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
