How do you unregister an Orbi router?

Hi,

How do you unregister an Orbi Router, as I have upgraded to WiFi 7 and need to unregister my old router, but Netgear won't allow me to, as they say I have an active subscription / contract against it. Seems crazy as it's my router, not Netgears.

The way to do this is the reverse process of registering.

Go here:

MyNETGEAR

Login to your account. This will list your registered devices.

Click the device you want to "lose" and scroll down to the bottom and find the well hidden link: Unregister Product

This is what I've done already and it just says that this product cannot be unregistered.because it has active services / contracts against it, which I have no way of cancelling. Netgear make this ridiculously complex for such a simple request.

If you have any Armor or Smart Parental controls subscriptions, you'll need to disable those and have NG help you out there.
