That sounds like some good news - after more than a year - if the beta firmware for the 7 series fixes the DNS Issue. Does make you wonder why isn't there any beta firmware for the 8 series. I am not sure if my Orbi AX will ever be used a router going forward. The capabilities of the Orbi AX are limited and the DNS / DHCP mechanism is also working a bit different compared to Asus. I am getting a really good user experience with the Orbi AX as expensive access point and my old Asus router doing the routing work.
