Locked out of 753 after update

I update my 753 system today using the latest version of the iPad app, and while the WiFi/internet side of the system appears to working (all devices are "on the air"), I can't tell how well because neither the iPad app nor my laptop (through the router's internal page) will connect to the system anymore. All I did was hit the "update" button that appeared on the app's home page. Then the app did whatever the app does (it never tells you which unit is being updated), and when it was done, I was locked out. The app can no longer find the system, and neither can the laptop find the router.

Has anyone else had this issue, and how did you resolve it?

Re: Locked out of 753 after update

Thanks for the tip. I'll give that a try sometime in the next few days when I have a few hours to play with it. I'll let you know whether it works or not. I've always had trouble when using the app for updates. I should have just gone to the router's internal page instead. Live and learn...again!

Re: Locked out of 753 after update

For users having problems with there Orbi units after updating to v.31, We recommend that if you have done most troubleshooting efforts to clear the issues seen after loading v.31 and still experience problems, you'll need to downgrade back to v.21 version. RBS first then RBR lastly. It's recommended after downgrading, to perform a Factory Reset and setup from scratch to ensure there no lingering FW from v.31 on the system. Also disable the Auto Update feature on the RBRs web page soon after to avoid the system re-updating back to v.31.

We have made NG aware of the issues with v.31 and have ask them to consider pulling back FW v.31 for all Orbi AX and AXE systems.

Thank you.

Good advice, I'm sure...but how do you backdate your system's firmware if you have no access to your system?
