Could be it had a different IP address and it switched from the 2.4ghz to the 5ghz (or vice versa) and caused it to display wrong in one of them. Or the google (or netgear) has an old ip address.
- rickinedJan 26, 2023TutorGot it. After I move some of the satellites around and I back hauled one of the satellites, I noticed that a few of my devices did change IP addresses. I'm wondering since I think it's on the orbi side, how I can make it reflect the correct IP addresses? I hit refresh in the orbee web page and it just reshows the devices with the incorrect IPs. I guess I could also just set static IPs for all of them through the router but that's sort of a pain in the butt.
- rickinedJan 26, 2023TutorI'm beginning to think it's Google home that has old IP addresses. I rebooted the orbi and it assigned the 2 Google cameras 2 new IPs (4 and 5) yet home still lists the old ones. And since they're both connected to the internet I'm sure the orbi has the right info.
Thanks for your help.- plemansJan 27, 2023Guru - Experienced User
wouldn't be surprised if something in there wasn't updating. Not the first time devices haven't talked between app/device.
