Netgear Orbi RBR750 dropping Internet connection
Hello, My orbi routers has increasingly become flaky over the last 2 months. My ISP ( AT&T) has checked their fiber connection and modem multiple times and we don't see any issues there. The...

I have Cat 6 connection in my home and the ATT connection is a 1GB Fiber network to the ATT Modem.
When the issue occurs the LED light turns to Magenta , but modem has internet connection and I have test that as well.

One reason for the Magenta when this happens is that the RBR has lost the connection to the ONT Fiber device. Or the ONT has stopped giving the connection to the RBR.

You should contact the ISP to see if they have seen anything on your ONT in the time frames when you see this problem on the RBR.
It goes from the ATT Fiber ONT to the RBR right? Or is there something in the middle?
Do you have IPv6 enable or disabled on the RBR?
Has the RBR been working up to this point on this same version of FW or is this something new or has this been problematic all along?
How was the FW updated on the system? Via Auto Update or did you manually upgrade the system?
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser. Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200.

I would power OFF the ISP modem for 1 minute. Factory reset the Orbi router and power it off. Power ON the ISP modem and let it sync. Then power ON the Orbi router and walk thru the setup wizard again using a wired PC and a web browser.
Press the back reset button for 15 seconds then release.

The next time this happens, could you copy the contents of the Orbi Log before restarting the router?
(When the router is powered off, the log file disappears and cannot be resurrected.)
See page 88 of the User Manual: https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RBK752/RBK752_UM_EN.pdf

I just realized we can get the logs from the router. I will do that next this happens

I am not confident that Netgear logs when it detects "No Internet". I will try an experiment tonight on a 750 router.
Hmmmm. Wonder if the AT&T device has a log that is user accessible?

There is a direct connection from ATT ONT Modem to Orbi Router.
This issue has been persistent for a few months. ATT has made countless trips to my home and they have replaced plenty of modem/routers (BW series). We finally settled for a solution where the ONT Line is directly connected to the ATT Modem ( This modem can directly take the ONT line) to avoid ONT device issues ( middle man) and then we have a Ethernet Line from this modem to the Router.
I finally did do a full factory reset of the routers just now. I am hoping the issue goes away.
FW is updated automatically through the app. IPv6 is not enabled

Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktopTry option #2 first.
