Re: New - RBK752/753 Firmware Version 4.6.3.7 Released

FW troubles.  I have read so many post and tried every suggestion I can, but still have RBS750 not connecting since 4.6.3.7 and now 4.6.3.16 FW auto updates.  When RBS750 powered up the white light blinks and "backhaul, guest, and whc-F12E15" shows up, on available wifi networks.  I have reset, tried to connect hardwire locally, complete system reset to factory defaults and no success.  I have router up and 1 satellite connected and somewhat working.  Is there a definitive solution to this problem? BTW-I tried NG support and was left angry and wondering why I paid for this $400 system.  Worked great for 9 months.  Like the majority of posts on this I have read, I am frustrated.  Any help is appreciated.

Re: New - RBK752/753 Firmware Version 4.6.3.7 Released

Netgear pushed the Beta to my 753s. Unfortunately, the push only went to my 750R not to my 2 753s. I manually upgraded the satalites and then turned the settings back to 100% for the 2.4 and other changes that had improved the problem.

I am STILL GETTING DISCONNECTS - the FIRMWARE DID NOTHING.

I continue to have issues with the satalite disconnecting.

NETGEAR IS THE WORST.

Maybe I should return these to Costco like so many others have.

Whats the point of pushing a firmware that doesn't go to the satalites AND also still has the same problem?

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last update?

Re: New - RBK752/753 Firmware Version 4.6.3.7 Released

Last week we got the 4.6.3.16 forced update which messed up the DHCP table on the router. I had to walk my wife through resetting the table by telling the router the dhcp range was different as I’m working away. This worked until today when the same thing has happened overnight and resetting the table isn’t working, also while I’m working away. Was a new version pushed? I’m on sub revision 2_0_51 which seems later than last week. This is really frustrating as the system is quite expensive and at the moment it’s simply not working.

YES, THAT DOES NOT FIX A BROKEN FIRMWARE THAT SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN PUSHED. NETGEAR STINKS!

Return it to the seller then. eBay is not a authorized seller so warranties are not valid thru fleabay.

Or try the new FW thats just been released:

NG doesn't know where you got your device from. It automatically registers on first configuration. your device may have been a replacement device

Re: New - RBK752/753 Firmware Version 4.6.3.7 Released

Also NG doesn't warranty 2nd hand systems. Only NEW products from authorized sellers.

Users need to check MFr warranty before buying anything to ensure they understand what they are getting and what warranties are being covered.

Replacement should be filed with your seller on ebay.

EBAY AND ANY SELLER/STORE HAS 30 DAYS  RETURN POLICY

I SEE YOU'RE TRY TO BE A SMARTA** CALL EBAY AS FLEABAY WHEN YOU KNOW DAMM SURE IT'S NG SCREW UP AND OWN UP TO IT. IT EASY FOR YOU TO SAID/BE A SMARTA** BUT FOR ME PAID $360 FOR A PRODUCT USE FOR 2 MONTHS IS NOT.

THAT $360 = 3 FULL WORKING FOR ME.

I buy a LOT from fleabay.  When I do, unless it's a recognized authorized seller, I know full well that ANY risk is on my dime.  It's up to the buyer to assure the seller is an authorized dealer if he/she wants ANY type of support from the manufacturer.  I take such risks willingly if the deal is there.

Such risks (that I have taken on) INCLUDE any f-up that a firmware update may cause.  Has it happened?  Yes.  I just find ways to deal/fix it on my own.

The information you need to at least temporarily resolve your situation on your own is in this forum (and some even being in this thread).
