Really...my RBS is working fine. No reboots or bricking. This was tested pretty well from what I got.
How did you load the FW? I presume by what is mentioned in the first post?

Re: New - RBR750 / RBS750 Firmware Version 4.6.7.13 Released
Alright guys, I've bee going through this dropping issue for months now. Nothing has worked. My RBR and RBS are on 4.6.7.13 now (autoupdated some time) and I've about had it. My RBS that is wired (because it's so far away from my RBR) is the worst offender. My other (non-wired RBS) does better, but still drops randomly. I did the things mentioned in these threads like turning off traffic monitoring and such. I've done factory resets, firmware updates, firmware rollbacks, all of it.
I'm literally at the point of chunking Orbi and moving to another brand. I'm not going to keep spending hours of my life on this. Are there any final suggestions before I give up?
Thanks,
Brent

Re: New - RBR750 / RBS750 Firmware Version 4.6.7.13 Released
Hi @Daddy1919
To verify, is the RBS750 connected wired or wireless?
Can you please let us know what troubleshooting you've tried?
How did you update the firmware?
Regards,
Blanca

Re: New - RBR750 / RBS750 Firmware Version 4.6.7.13 Released
I cant update. On my pc (windows 10) on the firmware update page/screen, the router & satellite #1 shows the new update but Satellite #2 is saying “service unavailble” its not even showing the current firmware number. Because of this i cant update the router or satellite #1.
satellite 2 is pulsing white.
what now??

Re: New - RBR750 / RBS750 Firmware Version 4.6.7.13 Released
Update:
Attempted the update to 4.6.7.13.
The firmware update screen on my windows 10 PC - in my home's Orbi website was only able to show the new firmware for the router & one of my satellites. The other satellite said “service unavailable" and that satellite blinking white. So not able to update even the router or the one satellite.
I unplugged the 'bad' router, then re-scanned for the new firmware. Success.
With the 'bad' satellite still blinking, I performed a re-sync. success.
Back to the firmware update screen. After clicking "Check' - nothing. Zippo.
I then tried a manual (after downloading the satellite from the download page) but after clicking 'upload' got a failure notice.
NOW WHAT ?
Oh - the Orbi App on my ipad shows Satellite 1 as the bad one - where on the PC in the Router web page it says Satellite 2. I cant even comprehend that.
AND why is the model name & firmware version missing from the 'good' satellite?
this screen shot taken 5 minutes after checking for firmware - and still saying "please wait" see photo.

Re: New - RBR750 / RBS750 Firmware Version 4.6.7.13 Released
I have CBK752 (CBR750 -Firmware Version V4.6.5.8_2.0.54 and RBS750)
Updated RBS750 from Firmware Version : V4.6.7.5 to v4.6.7.13.
Didi not work well at all !!!
- Wireless Backhaul - RBS750 did not sync with CBR750
- Wired Backhaul - RBS750 "maybe" synced with CBR750, however Web Admin UI showed disconnected and did not give it an IP address
- After trial and error got the IP address and logged into RBS750 Web UI
- RBS750 Username/Password did not sync with CBR750 and was default (admin/password)
Tried this a few times, and after a couple of hours gave up.
Disaster - Rolled back to V4.6.7.5.
Do not know how Netgear does QA testing during alpha, beta testing and prior to release.
CBK752 firmwares have been buggy since August 2021 and the last good versions I recall being:
- CBR750 (Orbi Cable Router) Firmware Version 3.2.18.2
- RBS750 (Orbi Satellite) Firmware Version 3.2.18.1
@Blanca_O - Please let mw know if the Netgear team needs any help with testing CBK752(CBR750+RBS750).

Re: New - RBR750 / RBS750 Firmware Version 4.6.7.13 Released
Finally. I hope it fixed the guest network's Internet issue that others and I had problems with. I hope I don't get new issues when I upgrade maybe tomorrow since others are using the Internet right now. Unless, Netgear decides to force autoupdates on us again like last time! 😕

Re: New - RBR750 / RBS750 Firmware Version 4.6.7.13 Released
RBS750 is connected wireless (another person owns the at&t dsl connection and the router is in that office, which is ~30 feet from the RBS750).
I originally updated the firmware from the Orbi app. Since then, the satellite goes into infinite loop of flashing white lights for 10+ minutes at a time, connects for a few minutes.... then lather, rinse, repeat. Kills all my work.
I've tried two factory resets, downgrading the firmware (on the satellite, via the web interface), upgrading the firmware (on the satellite, from the app) again. Turning things off, turning things on. Nothing works. What other kind of troubleshooting should I be doing? If there was a log that would tell me WTF the satellite thinks it is doing when the flashing white lights come on every few minutes to break my connection, that would be helpful. I guess I will try to downgrade both the satellite and the router firmware and see if that works.
Honestly, given the size of the building I am in the router shouldn't really even need the satellite to give me a stable connection, but the signal is terrible just a couple doors down on the same floor. With the satellite in the same room as I work, before the firmware update, things weren't fabulous, but I could tolerate it and have video calls. But even then, when things were "working", when I checked in the Orbi app which device I was connecting to, it would constantly hop from the Satellite (5 feet away) to the Router (35 feet away)... even though a continuous connection to the Router is not good service. Why can't it just stick to the closest device with the obviously stronger signal? (before this white light fiasco)
Orbi has been a huge disappointment and if this continues I guess I will just scrap these and be done with Netgear brand for good.

Re: New - RBR750 / RBS750 Firmware Version 4.6.7.13 Released
Rolling back the firmware of both the router and the satellite left the unit basically dead, with both devices sitting in an endless loop with the flashing white lights on the front. As I need to get work done, I unplugged all the Netgear equipment and plugged in my old Asus router which isn't great but at least isn't totally broken.

Re: New - RBR750 / RBS750 Firmware Version 4.6.7.13 Released
http://192.168.1.1/start.htm is so slow with its checking. Also, a "good" satellite keeps showing "Service unreachable" and no Model Name.

Re: New - RBR750 / RBS750 Firmware Version 4.6.7.13 Released
Rebooting kind of fixed it. but geez! http://192.168.1.1/start.htm is buggy with missing model names, no new firmware versions even though there are newer versions (had to do manual update on an outdated satellite), slow downloads and upgrades, etc. After finally updating the router and two satellites, it says there is a newer (uh older firmware) as shown in my uploaded screen shot/capture in a satellite (manually updated earlier from my updated 64-bit W10 Pro PC). Huh? How do I fix this?

Be sure to read the first post regarding updating. Remember this is a manual FW update post. It may not be available in the RBR auto update section.

Re: New - RBR750 / RBS750 Firmware Version 4.6.7.13 Released
Now, my http://192.168.1.1/UPG_upgrade.htm (not http://192.168.1.1/start.htm that I mentioned earlier since I miscopied and pasted) is showing correct results ("No New Firmware Available") with firmwares v4.6.7.13 installed. So wacky earlier. I went to sleep and didn't touch anything since the upgrades. Maybe Netgear fixed it on their end?

Re: New - RBR750 / RBS750 Firmware Version 4.6.7.13 Released
I don't recommend using the auto updater. Has a long history of not working correctly and messing things up. I always use manual. That way I know what I did, and ensure each unit is updated properly using FW files.

If it is that bad, then Netgear really needs to fix it since not everyone will know about the technical manual upgrades.

Re: New - RBR750 / RBS750 Firmware Version 4.6.7.13 Released
Managed to grab some time this evening, so went ahead with the upgrade. I did the upgrade manually.
Followed the steps provided, and I updated the RBS first (with the correctly named RBS .img file). Waited for that to reboot and come back up. I then updated the RBR (again making sure to select the correctly named .img file). Once that rebooted and came back I then went and turned off / unplugged from the mains both the RBR and RBS.
I waited a good few minutes, then powered on the RBR and then about 60s later I went and turned on / plugged back in the RBS. I went away and had some dinner and when I came back I logged in to check how things were. Everything was fine. All devices re-attached. Console working properly. Firmware reporting correctly. Happy days. 🙂
I'll report back should I notice any issues through normal usage.
Thanks.

Glad you got it working. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
