Now, my http://192.168.1.1/UPG_upgrade.htm (not http://192.168.1.1/start.htm that I mentioned earlier since I miscopied and pasted) is showing correct results ("No New Firmware Available") with firmwares v4.6.7.13 installed. So wacky earlier. I went to sleep and didn't touch anything since the upgrades. Maybe Netgear fixed it on their end?

I don't recommend using the auto updater. Has a long history of not working correctly and messing things up. I always use manual. That way I know what I did, and ensure each unit is updated properly using FW files.

If it is that bad, then Netgear really needs to fix it since not everyone will know about the technical manual upgrades.

I'll be sure to let them know.

Managed to grab some time this evening, so went ahead with the upgrade. I did the upgrade manually.
Followed the steps provided, and I updated the RBS first (with the correctly named RBS .img file). Waited for that to reboot and come back up. I then updated the RBR (again making sure to select the correctly named .img file). Once that rebooted and came back I then went and turned off / unplugged from the mains both the RBR and RBS.
I waited a good few minutes, then powered on the RBR and then about 60s later I went and turned on / plugged back in the RBS. I went away and had some dinner and when I came back I logged in to check how things were. Everything was fine. All devices re-attached. Console working properly. Firmware reporting correctly. Happy days. 🙂I'll report back should I notice any issues through normal usage.
Thanks.
