Both the 850 & 750 files for 4.6.7.5 are there. Did this fast so if not working let me know.

Have updated the firmware - looks to have fixed my issues so far.

Thanks for posting this, I've been having problems for months, with the kiddo's back to online school here, it has been a frustrating week as the wi-fi kept dropping.  Here's hoping the initial testing remains consistent and connectivity remains excellent on Monday!

Re: New - RBR850 / RBS850 Firmware Version v4.6.7.5 Released

I did the upgrade to my RBR850 and 3 x RBS850s (2 x wired backhaul and 1 x wireless backhaul).

RBR850 is in Router mode connected to Cox cable (350 down)

Upgraded the satellites first; no issues

Upgraded the router;  When white light on router began to flash on reboot, I disconnected power on router and gave it a few minutes before reconnecting and powering up.

Rebooted and came up fine.

Satellite backhauls initially reported DISCONNECTED and POOR, but after a few minutes they all turned to GOOD.

Looks solid so far and will report back on stability.

Thanks to @FURRYe38 Furry and @scorn242 Scorn242 who helped post this update as well as the details of update process.

Small steps moving in the right direction!

Re: New - RBR850 / RBS850 Firmware Version v4.6.7.5 Released

Updated last night from 4.6.6.11 that had been rock solid. Did a dirty upgrade and did not power either router or Satelite off after upgrade.

Lost satelite and needed to reboot everything. It appears that the mesh is not working as well in this firmware.  It has not picked up some of the nearest clients-

Everything else appears to be working correctly

Re: New - RBR850 / RBS850 Firmware Version v4.6.7.5 Released

This might be a regression: if I go to the control panel for each of the satellites by typing their IP addresses into a web browser, the satellite that is connected wirelessly displays "Unknown" for the name of each of its connected devices. The wired satellite displays the devices' names correctly. I've rebooted the wireless satellite and it's displaying the same behaviour.

Note that this doesn't seem to be affecting the operation of those devices, they are still connected and working correctly.

My other observation so far is devices seem more reluctant to connect to that specific wireless satellite than they were on 4.6.6.11. Might be just a temporary thing but there definitely seems to have been a change in behaviour there.

Both satellites and the main router have been updated to 4.6.7.5 and the system has been powered down and rebooted following the upgrade.

Re: New - RBR850 / RBS850 Firmware Version v4.6.7.5 Released

I had same issue after initial update. What I did was make sure everything was up and running and then did a power reboot via the Orbi app and when everything came back up, all devices showed up like they should.

Re: New - RBR850 / RBS850 Firmware Version v4.6.7.5 Released

OK, I just got mine installed. Did the grey install, installed FW, shut off RBS then RBR for 1 minute or more, then back ON with the RBR first and let it come to ready. The turned ON RBS one at a time. This time were going to be wireless with the RBS for a couple of days, then I'll connect them via ethernet. I set some IP address reservations for the RBS as well. Manual channels 1 and 40. CTS = 64. Transmit Power = 50%.

Re: New - RBR850 / RBS850 Firmware Version v4.6.7.5 Released

It's recommended that a power OFF for 1 minute then back ON with the RBS and RBR after a FW update at least.

After the system is online, try a reboot of the RBR to see if clients will connect to the RBS. Again, it's up to clients to pick and choose where they connect too.

Seems like there maybe a daily limit that I wasn't aware of. I got the files from this site ok today.

That's some insane speed!  I have the FIOS Gigabit service and the best I have ever seen is about 520Mbps Down on a 5ghz AX wireless client.

It's funny lol, I was about to post that I was on my second day with no issues, when I just saw the pink lights 😞 Still messy, messy, buggy, buggy Netgear.

What PINK lights are you referring too?

Did you power OFF the system after the FW was applied for 1 minute or longer then back ON? Also be sure to do same thing with ISP modem/ONT. If the RBR was PINK, be sure to check the ISP connection.

Might try a full reset on the system.

My systems has been online for almost 24 hours, doing ok thus far.

Well helps when you have a 4x4 AX supporting client. Most 2x2 devices top out at around 500-700 depending. I see 600Mpbs on my iPhone 12 at a short distance.

Glad it's working better. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

Re: New - RBR850 / RBS850 Firmware Version v4.6.7.5 Released

Awhh...good to know my bottleneck is the client devices.  I have multiple Intel AX20X devices that are all 2X2....don't have any 4x4 clients.  The fastest device I have measured on my network is the iPhone 12 Pro that I have seen the 520 down and 600ish up.

Ya same here. 12 pro max has seen around low 700's but usually close distance to the RBR. As long as we get something around 500-600Mbps, we should be good. That hitting the high limits on some of these devices. Smiley Wink

Satelite on this firmware was / is not working as well as on 4.6.6.11.

Would not pick up clients that are very close and then some clients it did find, it dropped them.

Decided to do a factory reset and power off for 5 minutes or so and then set it up fresh.

I will update on if this makes a difference.

👍

What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)?

What happens if you set transmit power to 50% on the RBR?

I have many questions.  Is there a limit for questions.  Furry seems to over the limit, if there is one.  Just asking.  Thank you
