New RBS850 Satellite showing blue LED but not connecting to router
Hello I recently received a new RBS850 satellite from an RMA. Here are the events of me attempting to get it connected. I plugged it in and waited. After a few minutes the LED showed solid blue...

To close: I managed to get on a call with the support agent tied to the RMA. The router's firmware was incompatible with the routers so it wasn't able to connect. She was able to direct me to find the Satellite's IP address in the router's logs (Advanced - Administration - Logs) by comparing the MAC address from the label beneath the satellite.
Using the IP address I was able to connect to the satellite by just entering the IP address in my browser window while connected to the router (something that would fail before the RMA) and then follow the prompts to manually update the firmware. Once updated the router only took a minute or so before it corrected the backhaul status and was good to go.

Okay, I was doing the right thing then.
So I did a factory reset of the satellite and the router. After a few minutes the router displayed no LED and the satellite displayed a blue LED. But it wasn't connected according to the satellite's webpage.
I then held the sync button down for 5 seconds, router first, then satellite. This prompted both to start pulsing white and after a few minutes one of two things would happen. Either both LED's would turn off. Or the satellite displayed it's magenta LED.

If you FR both RBR and RBS and then let the RBS auto sync to the RBR and got a BLUE LED, then the only thing you need to do is to walk thru the setup wizard with a wired PC and web browser and complete it. The wizard would have asked you to check for RBS and then would have found them, then you could continue to complete the wizard and then configure the system for your needs. No need to press the sync button.

Glad you got it working. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
