Only 1 entry shows in log

This is an odd quesiton...my RBR850 router and satellites installation is about a week old, running well...but one odd thing I noticed, I only ever have 1 entry in the log file that shows. Now, the only entry I have seen is issuing a DHCP address; I don't see any reason I should have had any other entries. I know today for example, I had three different DHCP entries, but when I looked at them, only the latest showed - what I mean is at 11 AM I saw a DHCP log entry for 10:30 AM; Yet at 12:30 I saw a DHCP log message from 12:00 PM ONLY; then at 1:30 PM I saw a DHCP log message for 1 PM ONLY. What happened to the other messages?

Note I HAVE NOT cleared the log file (that gives a message too.) I have looked at the log on Safari/Mac, Chrome/Mac, and Edge/Windows, with the same behavior.

Why do you think there is only one message that shows?

Logs are all dorked in my Orbi... I never have more than 6 or 7.  It is a known issue.

I have watched this some more - when I first reboot the router and go to the log, I see a number of entries - mostly the DHCP address issuing, but enough entries that it scrolls. If I come back in 20 minutes or so and log in and check the Logs again, there is only 1 entry. It sure seems like some sort of router bug.

I had to delete part of the log capture for forum posting not to exceed 20000 characters. 

All logging boxes are checked aceept for the 1st two and the very last one.

I see the time frame seems to be only about two hours or so.

Interesting. I heard back from @Blanca_O  and she said they had heard of the problem I reported here from others. Something different in configuration may cause it?

Here is my config:

Comcast ISP -> CM1200 -> Orbi RBR8500. 2 RBS8500's. No other network hardware - no switches, DHCP servers, etc.

RBR is in router mode (But get this - for the first time, I brought up orbilogin.net, logged in, and as I went to Advanced to see Router/AP Mode, it's grayed out! Have oyu ever seen that?)

All defaults for DHCP address pool, Router acts as DHCP. 

CTS 2347 on 2.4 and 5GHz (0 collisions still!)

20/40 MHz

No Armor, no Guest network, UPnP on, IPv6 enabled, no bridges, VPNs, static routes, port forwarding/triggering. 

Remote management turned off.

Haven't see any probems with Router or AP mode:

Have you factory reset your RBR since last update? 

What browser are you using for the RBRs web page? I'm use Opera Next. 

I don't have IPv6 enabled since my ISP doesn't support it natively.

@FURRYe38 I think I have 15 devices online - printers, laptops, iPad, iPhones, hubs, Apple TVs, TVs.

I have not done a factory reset since the last update. The documentation didn't say I had to, do I? That seems like a lot of work starting over?

I tried Safari and Chrome - grayed out. Seems like some new little thing pops up every other day lol. I have seen your graphic a lot, just stopped being available now. Maybe because I went to LAG today? I bet that is it!

Well the LAG on the CM1200 got new FW from those ISPs that pushed that is supposed to fix LAG slow down. 

Yes if you enabled LAG on the RBR, then maybe AP mode is disabled from use untill LAG is disabled on the RBR. I think I remember that now. 

I bet AP mode will be availalble when LAG is disabled.

Me too! I know I saw that screen a lot before today. No worries! I would rather have the speed and I have no reason to make it an AP as I have no other router lol.

Thought you might reset the RBR at some point to check for logs, though I didn't reset mine after applying the new v6 FW. I downloaded mine and applied them manually with a wired PC. Wasn't your auto updated?

Yes I just auto updated firmware, I have never done a manual update of firmware.

Maybe one issue causing logs to not display all info. Someting you might try re-loading v6 FW and factory reset to see if changes anything.

The most recent firmware seemed to fix log entries for me, logs fill up like normal now for since the update. All fixed on my end (so far)
