Orbi 960 2.4GHz Bug Causes Devices to Disconnect from 5GHz and 6GHz Networks
Hello all, I’ve been investigating the device disconnect issues that many users have reported on this forum. After extensive testing of various wireless settings, I believe I’ve identified the...

I have now managed to get round to testing this, and I can confirm that "Firmware Version 7.2.7.15" has fixed this issue for me.

I then used a wifi scanner to monitor the bands when the issue happened and could see the bands would disappear at the time of disconnect.
Which WiFi scanner? The scanners I have been using do not keep a long record. If I have to pay for one, I'd want to get something "that works".

Hi,
FURRYe38 I have now made contact with netgear support, I will let you know how it goes.
CrimpOn I use the netspot app, but like you said it doesn’t keep the history for that long.
Regards,
Liam

Hi All,
I wanted to add to this discussion. I came across the following webpage that mentions the use of non-overlapping channels for the 2.4GHz network. More importantly, it highlights that the available channels differ depending on whether you are in the US or EU region. I have now set my 2.4GHz channel to "13", which testing has shown to be more stable.
The below is an extract from the link further down below:
"Devices that use 802.11b and 802.11g can be tuned to one of 11 channels in North America, 13 channels in Europe. If you experience interference from overlapping wireless networks, each network should use one of the non-overlapping channels. These are channels 1, 6 & 11 in USA. Channels 1, 7 & 13 in Europe. This allows three networks to use the same space with minimum interference. If you can not do that, choose channels as widely spaced as possible, preferably at least five channels apart. For example, use channels 1 and 6, or channels 4 and 10."

So good to hear channel 13 seems to work better for those in the EU region.
Hopefully this will help your system.
Are you still using lasted v7 FW or did you revert back to v6?
