Orbi 960 speed via Ethernet 2.5 port
I just installed the Orbi 960 with 1 satellite. I am coming from an Orbi 850 (high router failed forcing an upgrade). I have xfinity’s fastest service which shows download speed in Orbi app of 1400 Mb...
The WAN connection on the 960 is rated 10GBe and is really where you should be connecting your incoming WAN connection to it, rather than the 2.5GBe ports (which are ideally suited for wired backhaul).
- Thank you - tried various connections including using as a wired backhaul but unable to get more than 940 Mbps. I suspect I must be missing something.
I am torn whether to keep the 960 and save money and revert to 860 and wait for Wi-Fi 7.
