I started another thread a few days ago but I wanted to start again as I have now been on the chat support and phone to netgear for over five hours total. So Here is the story. I currently own a Nig...

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Orbi AX (WiFi 6) products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Orbi AX and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this "general Orbi" forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

Thank you.

Actually the solution was simple
The imbiciles at EE gave me the user name and password to but into the PPPoE section but conveniently forgot to say that after the username I should also add FS
I went onto the EE community yesterday and some one there asked me how my user name looked and when i told him he immediately said that they should have told me about adding the FS
Anyway of course it now works perfectly
I have emailed EE today to complain aboput the two people who both gave me incomplete information
so thank you for your input. It wasn't a netgear issue after all
so five hours on the help line to Netgear was a total waste of everyone's time
