I have had the 750 before the 850 and had the same issues. I have talked to at least 10 different techs and made all kind of adjustments to the settings, but nothing works.
My modem is provided by the ISP and it's speeds are all blazing(read by one of their techs) hardwired to his meter. They have checked the connections outside my house. Everything looks great. The router has been hardwired also.
Bewildered

Hmmm... tech said it was a sagecom and that it was just a modem. After 5 days from the purchase and installation the speeds are starting to increase, especially in the early morning hours. the room that is further away from the router is getting the strongest wifi signal( consistently in the mid 400s mps) the satellite is 15 feet away. The satellite is roughly 30 feet away from the router, in view of the router.
TIA for all yor input and help

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
What wifi devices do you have connected and speed testing with?

You can also follow the steps in the community FAQ to help ascertain where the speed drop is happening, also whether it is just wireless vs. wired: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi-WiFi-6-AX-and-WiFi-6E-AXE/Community-FAQ-My-Orbi-speeds-are-slo...

Re: Orbi Router R850 router gives woefully slow Wi-Fi speeds, but when hardwired delivers blazing sp
If you mean Sagecom, these branded modem usually have a built in router and Wifi already. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop

Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
