I'll have to look into an analyzer app. There is no other way to distinguish 2.4 vs 5 that I'm aware of based on all my research. I don't think there is a way to set up two separate networks with the Orbi either (like to where you can pick one over the other).
True, the Orbi product uses one WiFi SSID for both 2.4G and 5G channels. There is no method to define separate names for different channels.
WiFi Analyzer products typically display every WiFi access point they detect, including your neighbors. Here is a screen shot from my phone:
Notice that SSID ORBI63 appears two times:
Channel 11 is the 2.4G channel and Channel 44 is the 5G channel. If I had clicked on the triangles next to MadDog and Bad-IoT, they would have expanded to show both channels on those SSIDs as well. These happen to be from an Orbi RBR750 I am experimenting with.
My guess is that if you check the WiFi strength at the door locations, it will appear to be very strong.

Have been searching for web articles regarding Schlage locks and WiFi. Everything I have found so far is about getting the lock connected in the first place. After that, the advice seems to be:
- change the batteries, or
- reset the lock.
Neither would seem to apply in this situation.

Yeah, I haven't been able to find anything either! I've reset the lock at least 3 times and it has fresh batteries too. đ
