I would put in a buried CAT6A lan cable between the two buildings. Then place a RBS in the garage thats wire connected. Metal roof may impact wifi coverage.

Re: Orbi WiFi 6 System (RBK853) AX6000
NG hasn't posted anything officially however we can presume that 4-5 maybe should work. Others using the Orbi AC metioned having 6 and 9 RBS connnected and seems to work for them. Thought thats Orbi AC. Theoretical could be the same for Orbi AX.
Is your system not covering the area you need?

Yes. Can't reach the detached garage without an additional extender at the moment. So, I bought an AMPED wifi extender that can cover 10,000 sq. ft.

Wow, well, the Orbi AX isn't rated to cover that kind of sq footage.
How far is the garage away from the main building?

About 15 to 20 ft., but it also has a metal roof. And, aprox 30 to 40 away from the router location in the main bldg with a metal roof as well.
