Orbi Wifi AX6000 shuts down after about 10 minutes
Just bought the new Orbi Wifi AX6000 (RBR850). I have ATT Uverse fiber optic with the Pace 5268 gateway. The Orbi router is connected to the Pace gateway by ethernet cable. I turned off the Wifi on the Pace gateway and tried to change the Orbi router to AP mode. I have had to go through the initial start up several times just to get that far in the set up but have not been able to finish it because the Orbi router shuts down after about 5 to 10 minutes of set up. The router and satellite connect but the ethernet cable from the Orbi router to the Pace gateway blinks red. I have found some info that says this means the Orbi router has corrupted firmware. I haven't been able to keep it online long enough to update the firmware. Am I missing something that I need to shut down or change in the Pace gateway? The lan connection has worked with other things such as a computer and Sonos speakers so I know that it does work. Any ideas as to why I'm having this problem?

Re: Orbi Wifi AX6000 shuts down after about 10 minutes
What Firmware is currently loaded?
Blinks red? Do you mean the front LED on the RBR blinks RED or PINK?
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Did you set up a IP address reservation for the RBR on the ISP router?
Try this:
Disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode. Still happens?
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed? IF so, and this hasn't resolved anything, might have a bad system out of the box that needs to be replaced.

Re: Orbi Wifi AX6000 shuts down after about 10 minutes
Thanks for the reply. But at this time, I'm giving up. I have read everything on ATT's site and Netgear's site about Orbi systems and the ATT Pace gateway. People have been having problems with the Pace gateway and external routers for a long time. It's the problem of no real IP pass through on the Pace gateway. I haven't been able to convince ATT to send me a different gateway for the fiber optic so I'm at a stand still. There probably was something not quite right with the new Orbi AX6000 also. The red blinking light that I was referring to was on the gateway ethernet port that I plugged the Orbi into. Anyway, I have decided to return the Orbi. Will fight some more with ATT for a different gateway and maybe start this all over again. Thanks again for your input.

Re: Orbi Wifi AX6000 shuts down after about 10 minutes
OK, sorry it didn't work out.
Yes, even on the Orbi AC forum, i see lots of users with problems with ATT gateway modems. Why ATT is being so bad about this, no idea why. Most users can get Orib working with AP mode on the Orbi. Some modems have the DMZ or pass thru feature, I guess some do not which tells me ATT maybe claming down or limiting what users can connect to there modem gateway.
Any chance there is a different ISP besides ATT? Sorry for you if there isn't.
Good Luck.
