Re: RBK 852 New Firmware Version: V3.2.16.6_1.4.4

FYI, I updated mine today. Did a dirty update instead of factory reset and setup from scratch. I just went online with it in router mode. RBR came up quickly and all my devices connected with out any problems thus far. RBS is wired and showing wired connection

I can confirm NAT Filter is fixed now for those gamers with two or more game consoles:

Speeds are good too:

I'll check for any DNS issues. DNS is automatic for me.

Orbi app is connecting and working.

@FURRYe38  I think my setup is kinda close to yours. You mentioned in some other posts that your setup is relatively stable now on the older fw. What do u have for the usual settings?

-  Enable 20/40mhz coexistence

- Enable WMM for both 2.4/5G

- preamble 2.4/5G

- CTS/RTS 2.4/5G

-  Enable AX 2.4/5G

- DNS Auto/manual

Think I'll be fine if I mimic your settings lol

- Enable WMM for both 2.4/5G YES

- preamble 2.4/5G AUTOMATIC

- CTS/RTS 2.4/5G 64

-  Enable AX 2.4/5G YES

- DNS Auto/manual AUTO - Not Seeing any DNS issues thus far since going online with v6 last nite.

Quick question, have they made the older AC3000 routers compatible wirelessly yet? Or do they still have to be tethered with Ethernet?

Only ethernet. I saw a post in a different forum that one user contacted NG support and asked about this and NG said they hadn't planned on it. So take that with a grain of salt. Only the RBS50Y in extender mode seems compatible at this time.

I just confirmed that my two EX extenders connect to Orbi AX 8 series so these could be used in a pinch with Orbi AX systems.

Connected a ASUS AX router in wireless bridge mode to my Orbi AX 8 series. Speed test is with Windows 10 wired PC connected behind ASUS wireless bridge.

FURRYe38, you need to update your firmware on your ASUS GT-AX11000 to 9566. 🙂

Re: RBK 852 New Firmware Version: V3.2.16.6_1.4.4

According to the release notes for the GT-AX11000 9566 firmware version stability/security is improved but if all is well-you are right-why bother?

I also tend to look over user experiences as well:
