RBR50 slow wifi speed with FIOS
Hello,
I have gigabit service from Verizon and 3 Orbi devices. The router is connected directly to the FIOS ONT, no Verizon router. Wifi speeds are <400Mbps, usually around 200. Wired connections are strong, close to theoretical maximums.
What Firmware version is currently loaded? V3.2.18.1_1.4.14
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too? Alcatel I-211M-L
What wieless device are you using? iPhone 12 Pro, Pixel 5
What are your wired speed results with a wired PC or laptop? 850+Mbps
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft? ~4500
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. Hardwired
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz. Have tried both auto and setting various manual channels.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many? No interferring wifi from neighbors

Re: RBR50 slow wifi speed with FIOS
Yes, RBR50 with two satellites. I have a switch downstream of the RBR, wired speed tests directly to RBR and behind the switch are the same.

Re: RBR50 slow wifi speed with FIOS
Try enabling WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).

There is no option to set Coexistence to a certain value, only a checkbox to allow it or not.

Removing the check from the box sets 40Mhz only.

Re: RBR50 slow wifi speed with FIOS
Use WiFi Sweet Spots on your mobile devices to see what the connection rate is between the RBR and these devices. Turn OFF any RBS before testing. Test with the mobile devices about 6 feet from the RBR.

Re: RBR50 slow wifi speed with FIOS
Tested with Wifi Sweet Spots, 6 ft from router and satellites off, getting ~550Mbps there. Definitely not getting those speeds with other commonly use tests though...
