So I have just bought a 2 plack of RBR750 and the satellite. I also bought a TP-Link Archer A20 at the same time to test the two.
The Archer arrived before the Orbi and I was able to set it up with both a wifi and ethernet network. I have Gigabit wiring within the walls of my apartment and am able to max out my FiOS connection through the wall wiring from the point the fios enters the apartment (where the Archer and Orbi are) to the Apple TV in the living room where I am running speed tests.
I'm getting pretty much even upload/download (850/750mbps) speed on the Apple TV with the Archer A20. The Orbi, on the other hand, is giving me maxed-out download speed and less than 1/4 upload speed (850/150).
I am just running the Orbi router at the moment so I can try to isolate what the issue is. I just don't understand why it is exhibiting this behavior. I know it's not the wire or the FIOS connection, so there's not much else it can be apart from the Orbi. Has anyone experienced this? Is there anything in the settings in the management software that could fix it? This is really a dealbreaker for the system. I have let the router sit for a while after booting, restarted it, restarted all of the equipment involved, made sure I am using the same cables etc. The speed is always the same. Also on the latest firmware.
I should also say that the speedtest within the router GUI gives me the 850/750 speeds so it is something to do with how the router is handling wired clients.
