Firmware Version V7.2.6.31_5.0.24 I have started doing some gig work for Appen.com and I am continually getting a warning: when I attempt to start a job. I get this also on my laptop, on ...

I did not realize that Security was NOT enabled - I don't know where to turn/off.

I just saw that NG Armor was enabled in the android app.
It is not.

Messages 6 and 7 appear to be inconsistent. i.e. the Orbi web interface says that Security is not enabled, but the Orbi 'app' says that it is enabled, correct?
My concern is that the description of Netgear Armor very clearly implies that it enables a VPN on the router to protect outgoing connections.

This is all very odd.

GM, I did mean to imply Armor was on, it is off on both interfaces:
I am planning on doing a hard reset on the router and satellite.
What do you think?
Yes this all very weird.
All those website that geo-locate your IP, show the correct geographic area - Longmont Colorado when I have IPv6 turned off, which I do now.

Just did a hard reset on router & satellite - continue to have the same issue of the Appen website detecting a VPN.
Armor is turned off on the router and there is no VPN setup on this PC, nor any PC in the home.
This is a fresh install of W11 Pro. No third party anti-virus, anti-malware, etc.
The same happens with a laptop that has a fresh install of Ubuntu 24.04.1, when connected to the internet through the NG ORBI router, whether wired or wireless - I continue get the VPN warning on the Appen website when I go to work a job.
HOWEVER, if I connect my Ubuntu laptop directly to the modem (ethernet), bypassing the NG ORBI RBK852 router, everything works - I can work the jobs at Appen.com - NO VPN warning..
There is definitely a problem with the NG ORBI software. It is making some websites think there is a VPN in use.
