RBRE960 Intermittent Slow Internet Speeds
Problem: The problem is that for mostly the mobile devices (iPad/iPhone), the internet speed varies and can be extremely slow. Disconnecting and reconnecting the device to wireless sometimes help...
I'll keep you posted. I may need to get someone to run Ethernet between the basement and 1st floor ultimately to resolve this.
Home builders: Don't put ONTs in basements please, or add at least one ethernet connection at a reasonable location.

Ya, basements are not great places. Modems and ONTs could be placed there, however, like you said, if basement is the primary location for the ISP service, users should have a ethernet line running up from the basement to the main level or 2nd level for primary host Wi-Fi router placement. I recommend CAT6A STP for this.
