Please edit out any MAC addresses or product serial numbers before posting in public forums for security reasons.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

How are your RBS connected to the RBR, wireless or wired?

How many RBS do you have connected?

Is Armor, SPC, or Traffic Meter enabled?

Re: Router continually reassigning IP addresses to the satellites.

Is the RBS directly connected to the back of the RBR or is there any LAN patch panel and LAN switch in between?

What CAT# cable are you using between the RBR and RBS? CAT6 is recommended.

Have you set up an IP address reservation for the RBS ON the RBR?

Two switches in between, both showing 1 gbps connection with lights, confirmed with speed tests getting ~900mbps download/upload.  Cat 6/7 used with all connections.

**Oops. Yes, RBS is set to 192.168.1.2 and maintains that reservation.

What is the Mfr and model# of the ethernet switch in the configuration?

Other than duplicate IP address assignments, is the system working ok?

Re: Router continually reassigning IP addresses to the satellites.

Both are Netgear. One is a dumb switch, the other is ProSafe.  The IP reassignments seem to correlate with wireless devices getting dumped off the RBS and not being able to reconnect for a while.  But not all devices and never the wired devices.

What is the current CTS value seen on the RBR? Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings

Try lowering the transmit power on the RBR from 100% to 50%. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings

Re: Router continually reassigning IP addresses to the satellites.

Distance between them is probably 30+ feet.  RBR is in the basement and RBS is on the 3rd floor.  CTS is 64.  Is it possible to lower the power on the RBR alone and not affect the RBS? I have a few places in my house that don't have great coverage already.

Re: Router continually reassigning IP addresses to the satellites.

Try it can see. You can always put it back.
Seems like devices maybe ping ponging back and forth thus causing these IP addresses. Its up to wifi devices to pick and choose where they connect to and maybe hopping around trying to get connected to one signal source.

Basement is not recommended location for the RBR. Even if the RBS are ethernet connected.

What is the model# of the ethernet switch in the configuration?
