VPN ip address change
Hello.
I have two systems RBRE960 and RBR850. Both activated VPN service. The problem is that they both have save VPN IP/subnet 192.168.254.1, so I could not connect to both of them at the same time, which is needed to me. Previously one of the system was SRR60 and it's VPN IP address was at least somehow controllable (it was LAN subnet +1).
Am I missing and it is able to be changed somehow in either RBRE960 or RBR850?
Thank you.

Re: VPN ip address change
Why don't you change the IP range in one of the systems to something else, e.g. 10.0.0.x. ?

Re: VPN ip address change
192.168.5.0 and 192.168.10.0, but vpn on both 192.168.254.0. I will try to change dramatically to 10.10.x but I highly doubt it will change VPN ip

Re: VPN ip address change
Was that a typo? (192.168.254.0 vs. 192.168.254.1)
Netgear changed IP subnets around from the original product line, where every device was in one subnet (primary & guest) and VPN clients were assigned from the next higher subnet starting at 2 (the router takes 1). The AX line introduced a separate subnet for the guest network. Are there even more subnets in the 960 product line? (IoT? 6E?) I could see an engineer wondering, "Where do I put VPN if (a) guest network is enabled, or (b) guest network is not enabled?"
Just an idle question: When more than one VPN connection is active, do the IP addresses go "up", i.e. 192.168.254.2, then 3, then 4?

Re: VPN ip address change
Well it is not.
I have changed RBRE960 router lan to 10.10.10.0/24 and VPN address still 192.168.254.2
While second router RBR850 lan 192.168.5.0/24 with VPN address also 192.168.254.2
Am I missing something?
Thank you.

Re: VPN ip address change
Previously when the CLI interface (telnet was open in Orbi we could easily change this, but unfortunately now I don’t think there is anything we can do.

Re: VPN ip address change
What parameter would one set using a command line interface (telnet) to manage the IP subnet assigned to VPN connections?
- Idle curiosity. Would like to see what happens when I try it on a test system.
- I have heard rumors of a way to enable telnet on the AX products This might prove to be a solution to this specific circumstance.

Re: VPN ip address change
A puzzle. I do not find a parameter openvpn_tun_ipaddr
on my RBR50. Is this parameter unique to the AX models?
.... Or, am I just not looking for it correctly?

Re: VPN ip address change
So, as an update - I have official answer that VPN address could not be changed at the moment on AX Orbi.
They suggested to create feature request, so I did:
