Will 850 ever get an update? 4.6.3.x is moribund
Is there some technical reason that RBR850 will never get 4.6.5.x?
Or is it just marketing to push us to a higher end? 'cause that's not gonna work. I'll switch brands first.

Try this one, seems to be good so far for me and a few others who have loaded it:

Thank you for that; as you may have noticed I commented on a related thread when I noticed this.
But it's irresponsible for a privacy-conscious person to install firmware from a random domain just because "someone" said that "support" sent it to them. Until it's on netgear.com it doesn't, effectively, exist.

Ya we know thats why I put in use at your own risk statement.
This user posted this here as well:
AND, besides with ALL the problems v4 FW has caused and ALL the users complaints about the problems, I figured lets see if this will help in some way. Get maybe some better experiences out there. It's been a long year since v4 came out and ya, we already know, its taking NG time to correct the problems everyone been complaining about, so this is for these abnormal experiences and hoping that something will help make some of you users a bit more happier so I believe the risk outways the normal otherwise would have posted when NG made it official. It's a new year so were all hoping that NG will come up with something soon as well.
In mean time, it's up to users to try it...or not.
